Take Biking to the next level this summer in Buckinghamshire
'Be a Better Biker' Assessment days are back for 2018
Bookings are now being taken
for the most extensive Be a Better Biker (BaBB)
season in Buckinghamshire yet. Running between April and
September, the assessment days are hosted by Thames Vale Advanced Motorcyclists
(TVAM) and are open to all bikers with a full motorcycle licence. BaBB aims to progress
good bikers into great bikers, offering a workshop on the principles of
advanced riding followed by an on-road assessment.
Local biker Franco Amarro regained his confidence after a crash with TVAM. More on Franco's experience, here. |
The workshops, which run from 10am – 4pm and
cost £20 per rider, will all take place at Marlow Fire Station on:
Saturday
8th September - LAST SESSION OF THE SUMMER!

In the last three years (2015 to 2017), 154 riders
and pillion passengers have been killed or seriously injured on
Buckinghamshire’s roads.
The
course is being supported by Buckinghamshire County Council and Travel Safe
Bucks, with a view to reducing the number of bikers killed or injured
on the roads. County Councillor Mark Shaw, Cabinet Member for Transportation,
says:
“With
its winding roads and stunning countryside, Buckinghamshire is understandably
popular with bikers – particularly when the weather turns nicer and the bikes
come out of the garage for the first time in months. We want everyone to be
safe on the roads, and the County Council is happy to be supporting TVAM in
promoting these workshops.”
Whether you ride a sports, classic, trials or
tourer – if you have a full licence and live or ride in Buckinghamshire you’re
welcome at BaBB.
